My Favorite Raw Food Vegan Recipes

The foods I eat raw are combinations and don't really seem like recipes. None the less, here are my favorite raw food vegan recipes.

The very most simple.

Peel and cut up one apple and one orange. Mix them together. Eat with just a few nuts if you'd like.

This is my favorite when I've eaten too much processed food and I'm feeling sluggish with depleted energy. (I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian so it's easy to do if I don't watch it.)

Here it is.

1 apple
1 or 2 stalks of celery depending on how big the apple is
8-10 walnut halves

If you'd like to add dates or raisins, go ahead. I don't usually because my body seems to like the simplicity.

One of my friends adds lemon juice. Another adds salt. And a third adds mayonnaise.

None of those is right for me, but I list them because the salt and lemon are within the parameters of a raw food vegan diet.

When I want to get away from processed foods, especially carbohydrates, I switch to another carb favorite that's also loaded with protein.

Here it is.

Sprouts - whatever type or types you prefer
Carrots - shredded
Beets - shredded

Mix them together. Add either ground flax seed or a small amount of flax seed oil to taste.

Serve generous portions. I don't know how this salad sounds to you, but I think it is sooo good and filled with nutrients.

Of course, green salads with fruits, vegetables, and nuts or seed are terrific, as well.

I'll be adding more to this page soon so please do check back. Also, if you'd like to send me a special favorite of yours, please use the contact form on the home page and send it along.
